Made in North America!
Description
- Galvanized steel construction resists corrosion and holds up to sustained heat and moisture from dryer exhaust
- Back draft damper closes at rest under its own weight and opens only under positive airflow from the dryer — blocks cold air, drafts, and pests from entering the duct when the dryer isn't running
- Angled hood directs exhaust downward and away from the wall, reducing lint build-up on the exterior surface
- Available in 4", 5", 6", and 8" duct collar sizes to suit dryer exhaust and general exhaust venting applications
- No mesh or screen, allowing the damper to open and close freely without trapping lint or restricting airflow — screens are not suitable for dryer venting
- Common applications: residential and commercial dryer exhaust venting through exterior walls
Installation
Insert the collar through the wall opening from the exterior side, connecting to rigid or semi-rigid duct of matching size on the interior. Secure the flange to the exterior wall surface with screws (not included) and seal around the perimeter with exterior-grade caulk to prevent water intrusion. Ensure the damper hangs freely and is not obstructed by insulation, siding, or debris.
