Installation Guidance

  • Compatible with 1/2" or 5/8" drywall for a precise, flush fit.
  • Designed for wall installation over duct openings or wall cavities.
  • Permanent once installed — the air return vent cannot be removed.
  • Steps
    • Mark & Cut
Position vent on wall or ceiling, trace, and cut opening so vent fits flush in drywall.
    • Add Backing
Install a wood frame or backing inside the wall/ceiling cavity to provide a secure surface for fastening the vent.
    • Dry Fit
Test fit the vent into the opening to ensure it sits flush and secure against the backing.
    • Secure
Insert with routered edge out. Nail or screw into the wood backing, countersinking fasteners. Cover slots with painter’s tape if needed.
    • Finish
Apply joint tape and compound around the routered edge, feathering at least 10" into the surrounding drywall.
    • Paint
Sand smooth, clean, and paint to match.
